Programmer's Devlog #5 (5/31/19)
The alpha stage has ended an we are now entering beta. The game is complete in terms of playing the game from start to finish over the span of three levels. During this week, I built the level designs from the designer's level designs. This in of itself was a very important task to accomplish, as I had to make a system where It was easy to just plop down objects and it works flawlessly. I made a speech bubble that appears/disappear when the player walks over it, and i'm personally proud of it. The saving/loading functionality exists. I revised quite a lot of the particle effects, and they are looking pretty neat so far. I changed the collectibles from egg rolls over to "courage", and you can see it's sprite in the video! The video shows off the sound effects for collecting them. The game's theme is changing from an egg roll game to more of a Krampus-themed game, so I am adjusting the art and sounds to accommodate that.
